| Steve & Gill's garden |
Woke to a wonderful sunny morning which changed, English-fashion, to clouds within a few hours – we seem to be in the middle of a very changeable series of weather systems! It was nice to have a quiet morning, and get a good laundry done – and there was enough breeze that I could hang stuff out rather than using the dryer!

Izzy was finally getting used to me. She’s a 6-year-old cockapoo who suffers from extreme anxiety around strangers, which comes over aggression until you realise it’s fear. Steve and Gill suspect it has something to do with Covid lock-down time, when they saw practically nobody. They’ve done some work with a behaviourist, and she’s doing better, but any sound at the door and the hysterical barking starts. Like a cat, when you ignore her, she decides that you are OK!

Gill went out to exercise class, while Steve and I pootered. The big battle was sorting my charging problem – I bought a universal adapter, but the connection keeps cutting out. I could charge my phone using Steve’s cable, but not my laptop. There’s a little computer store half a mile down the road, so I walked along to see what he could suggest; bless the man, he found me a cable with a UK plug that I could connect with my charging cable – and didn’t charge me for it. The next point at which it may be an issue will be in Norway – and I can probably find a replacement adapter at the airport.

It was a quiet afternoon – watching tennis, mostly! Steve is an excellent chef – both he and my nephew Ben are the primary cooks in their homes. Tennis gave way to a comedy murder-mystery as only British TV can do it.
I think this week’s blogs will be shorter than last week’s.... Looking forward to meeting the new grand-nephews tomorrow.
